Below you will find our most commonly asked questions and their answers.

How much do you charge?
This really depends on the distance we have to travel, the day of the week etc. Rest assured we offer great value for money.

How long do you play for?
We start at 8 if you require us to, and we play through till midnight, although usually we find that it's around 8.30 before everyone is ready for us to start.
We will take an appropriate break - usually during the buffet - and we can provide background music if required.
The band is fully self contained, with our own sound and lights.

Why do you stop at midnight?
We always finish at midnight. It's our golden rule!

We ask the bride and groom to take the floor for a real rousing end to the day, usually with Loch Lomond by Runrig.

It's a really great way to round off the day, and  everyone stays on the floor for a chorus of "Auld Lang Sine"

Everyone then has a chance to catch their breath and have decent opportunity to say their thanks and goodbyes.
Leave it till after midnight and people will have wandered off, your big day just fizzles out.

If you want background music after midnight, just ask us (or the venue). It's easy to arrange.

Can I chose my "First Dance?
Certainly!
We'll learn it if it's suitable for us to play, or we'll play the record if you would prefer.

How do we pay you?
We require a non refundable deposit to book the date in our diary.
We will then send you a letter of confirmation.
If you like, you can pay the balance by cheque, but please note we require this 14 DAYS PRIOR TO THE FUNCTION.
You can pay the balance on the night - prior to the start of the evening - and in cash please.
It's one of our golden rules, and - let's face it - being paid always puts us in a good mood for a party!

How do you dress?
Usually in dark clothing for the men, and something a bit more elaborate for Elaine! Let us know if you want something different.

Do you do Scottish stuff?
Yes we do a couple of Scottish things (Gay Gordons and Strip The Willow normally)
A little ceilidh music is great at a wedding …. but our experience is that a two or three dances spread throughout the night is enough.

How long do you need to set up?
About 45 minutes to an hour usually.
We will make arrangements with the hotel so that we cause the minimum of disruption. We have really modern equipmnt which means we can fit into small spaces if required.

Are you booked up well in advance?
Yes! So contact us ASAP.
We do all our own bookings though - so we may have spaces and "last minute" dates available, you never know.
